They call him The Voice of a Generation. They also call him Zimmy and Zimbo, but we think you’ll join us in agreeing that the former holds a little bit more gravitas for the legendary Bob Dylan.

Controversial, poetic and outspoken, there have been few artists as influential as Dylan – few whose words and songs still remain just as relevant. It’s this standing in the pantheon of greats that Cairo Jazz Club is celebrating on Thursday 28 December with the help of some of Cairo’s finest musicians.

This is not the first time CJC have saluted a great; tribute nights for the likes of Jim Morrison and David Bowie has seen the likes of Hany Mustafa, George Aboutar and Shady Ahmed come together at The Jazz for what have been very unique nights of music.
