With its extremely cosy lounging and open mesmerising views of the pool and the beautiful streets of Garden City, Upper Deck Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza has recently launched an entirely new menu, and we were there for it. Upper Deck Lounge has made a prominent shift from its previous fusion of Asian-Latin cuisine into a more oriental, close-to-home tone with the elegance of Levantine cooking.

 

Same Ambience, New Mood: Levantine Cuisine Takes Over

After an era of excellence in its Asian-Latin fusion, Upper Deck Lounge has decided to lean into a more authentic and familiar direction by changing into Levantine cuisine with an entirely new menu. The menu features various sections from delicious classic favourites to new genius twists on beloved authentic dishes, bringing Eastern, bold, and new flavours back to the stage. 

With the same interior and ambience from early 2024, Upper Deck Lounge of Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza has maintained its welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. In spacious indoor and outdoor areas, Upper Deck Lounge welcomes hungry guests and long conversations from 4 PM with its new and carefully curated Levantine menu that features the best dishes of the region and introduces well-thought-out culinary inventions.

 

The new menu includes a variety of Levantine dishes from Manakesh, charcoaled snacks, dips, hot bites, desserts, and so many more. It also includes a wide variety of beverages and shishas, that pair well with the cosy seating that can keep all your conversations private, in addition to a super attentive, friendly staff that provides all your needs immediately.

 

Hummus: A Dip into Deliciousness

We began our meal with an irresistible selection of dips and crackers, starting with the Hummus (EGP 250). This creamy chickpea puree favourite was enhanced with delightful toppings of tomato kasoundi, nigella, and pine nuts. The dish offered a mouthwatering combination of rich texture and sweet, refreshing spices.

 

Kofta Wrap: Smoky, Juicy, Iconic

Topped with hummus, biwaz, pickles, and tahini, the Kofta Wrap (EGP 725) is served in Lebanese bread with French fries and makes its way into your heart with its orchestrated symphony of flavours, that combines refreshment and the perfect thin line of sweet and salty. The flavours beautifully blend with the perfectly cooked grilled kofta, enhancing the taste and experience of the wrap sandwich.

 

Baklava: A Sweet Finale with a Chilly Twist

Never skip on dessert in Upper Deck Lounge, especially the Baklava. The widely loved authentic dessert is served there like no other. The Baklava (EGP 440) is a sweet treat, with crisp layers of pastry and pistachio ice cream in between, offering a grand exit of sweetness and cooling refreshment that anyone would appreciate in this hot weather.
