Cairo’s Fashion Night: Special Boutique Shopping Event in Zamalek

Cairo’s Fashion Night: Special Boutique Shopping Event in Zamalek
In an
attempt to revive a slowing economy, Pashion Magazine has organised a
two-night event called Cairo’s Fashion Nights. Launching this Monday, October 31st
from 7PM until midnight, the event will be held throughout the boutiques of the
Zamalek neighbourhood.

Pashion turned to Vogue’s successful
model of Fashion Night Out
a venture designed to boost the fashion retail industry
– for inspiration. Taking place in a selection of shops around Zamalek, Cairo’s
Fashion Nights is a creative and enjoyable way for the fashion world and its
enthusiasts to celebrate their industry while simultaneously boosting sales.

Aside from
music, finger foods and drinks, the various locations will also offer a variety of
special attractions and entertainment for all the committed shoppers in Cairo. Shopping
pleasures such as discounted items, custom-made products and the opportunity to
meet designers to receive expert styling advice are to name a few. The event also promises fashion shows and
prizes.

Highlights
of the event are Amina K’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection, which will be on display
at the House of Egypt room at Amuse: Lifestyle Concept Store. Dina
Said’s talents are another reason to pop into the House of Egypt, where the
designer will offer one-on-one design consultations that in turn could inspire a
spontaneous sketch or two. Nuniz will also be available at this venue, where
shoppers may win the chance to walk away with free gifts.

The Pashion
Designer Lounge on 19, Abul Feda Street will carry the latest collections by
Ain Maha, Lina Chawky, Sabry Bijoux, P.E.G by O! as well as other
designers. There will also be a vintage corner with unique designer pieces, and a
special two-for-one offer is available at the lounge to shoppers upon subscription.

In true
fashion event tradition, Pashion is bringing its own
Fashion Police in the form of Kegham Djeghalian, a fashion stylist/editor based
between Cairo and London.  With a camera
prepared to take snapshots, Kergham is expected to be busy capturing the best
and worst of the fashion world while participants are encouraged to ask him for
fashion advice and guidance.

As the
Fashion Nights draw to an end on November 1st, a closing party with Cairo
favourite DJ Aly Bahgat, will take place from 9PM to 1AM at Risas on the Nile Maxim Boat. For those without invitations, tickets are
given when a purchase is made at any of the designated shops.

Invitations
and guides (including a map of the participating locations) are available to be
picked up at the following stores throughout Zamalek:
69, Al Qahira Gallery, Amuse, Azza Fahmy, Dima Jewellery, Ghazl Banat, Lalloushi, Mix and Match, Mounaya, Mohamed Al Sagheer, Posh Boutique & Dina Ayesh, Villa Baboushka and Zeynep Hanif.
