As an avid shopper who, while stumbling through a mall, can never turn a blind eye to the lure of Cairo’s list of high street fashion brands, we’re somehow tired of the same old labels, wishing for another option to widen the scope of our shopping destinations.

Our wish has been granted. Because here comes the German-based high street fashion brand, New Yorker, promising a broader spectrum of trendy fashion items. The 40-year-old brand, which boasts over 1200 stores in 44 countries, offers a variety of garments that cater to all occasions, with a host of sub-brands of its own; the sports and streetwear Fishbone FSBN and FB Sister, the casual and eveningwear Amisu and Smog, in addition to Censored, which offers lingerie and swimwear. Also, accessory lovers will find New Yorker not short on the last items that make a whole look pop!

So where will New Yorker be? The brand’s first store is at Cairo Citystars Mall, where a massive opening is set to take place next Thursday (the 20th of February) at 7.00 PM. The grand opening sees R&B and hip-hop star DJ Feedo taking to the decks, a parade, in addition to a corner where you can get all glammed up in glitter, and a photo booth for an everlasting memory. Not only that, New Yorker offers its first 50 customers, who make purchases worth 500LE or more, a free tote bag – you don’t want to miss that, huh?

Wait, that’s not all, because by the end of February – or this weekend so to speak – New Yorker will have opened three stores in town; the second at Mall of Arabia, whose opening will be on  Friday, the 21st, while the third will be at Cairo Festival City Mall, opening its doors on Saturday the 22nd

With this trail of openings across the city’s most renowned malls, New Yorker is truly taking over Cairo!
