Jaz Little Venice: Relaxing Golf Resort in Ain Sokhna

Ain Sokhna is the nearest
resort town to Cairo: less than an hour’s drive from the capital’s crowded
streets and noise will have you at the fascinating and tranquil Red Sea.

Located on KM36 on Suez Road (take
a left after Ain Sokhna Gate) and few kilo meters after Stella Di Mare, you
will find Jaz Little Venice; one of the best resorts in Sokhna by all
means.

Jaz
Little Venice is a serene and charming five-star boutique hotel that contains 120 well-furnished rooms, swimming pools, a gym, two bars and a 9-hole golf course. The hotel is as swanky as they come: once you enter the lobby, you will notice the
elegant decorations and the cosy, welcoming ambiance.

Prices at Jaz Little Venice are not low but not drastically
high either compared to the other hotels in Ain Sokhna (including Mövenpick
and Porto Sokhna): half-board accommodation in a double room costs 650 LE while
a single room costs 550LE, and a suite costs 1400LE. The hotel is currently
offering a special price of 325LE for half-board accommodation, valid until
April 20th, 2011.

There are three swimming
pools in the centre of the resort, two for adults and one for children. Both
pools are heated, which means you can swim even in the cold winter months. The
beach at Jaz Little Venice is a little far from the hotel; so they helpfully
provides golf carts with drivers to drive you to and from the beach. There is also a bar on the beach if you ever feel thirsty.

The hotel’s rooms are very
neat and spacious with an amazing view of the green gardens all over the resort
and the swimming pools. Each room has a balcony and is
fully equipped with a plasma TV featuring satellite channels, individually
controlled air conditioning, a coffee maker and a hair dryer, among others
luxuries. Room service is available 24/7, and free Wi-Fi is provided
throughout the resort for those who like to stay connected.

The resort has a very elegant
café called Terrazina, which opens from 10PM to 1AM and serves hot and cold
drinks. If you feel like exercising, the resort also has a small yet well-equipped
gym.

Breakfast is served from 7AM
to 10:30AM, an open buffet serving some of the usual breakfast dishes such as a
cheese platter, yoghurt and eggs, alongside juice and tea. Dinner is served
from 6:30PM to 9:30PM, also an open buffet serving rice, macaroni, meat and fried fish, among other dishes, as well as
various types of desserts like jelly and om ali. There are also cooking stations, where chefs will make your choice of eggs for breakfast or pasta for dinner with whatever ingredients you would like.

Check-in is at 2PM, but you may
be able to check in earlier if it isn’t too crowded. Although check out time is
technically noon, you don’t have to leave immediately; instead, you can submit
the room keys and spend the rest of the day on the beach.

We also advise you to bring
your own beverages with you if you’d like to save money; as a bottle of water
or a can of Pepsi will set you back 12LE.
