Let it snow! The weather is getting colder every day, and the New Year has brought along a snowy storm that has taken over Saint Catherine in South Sinai. Over the weekend, Egyptian Streets published a series of photos that went viral over Twitter, which show the beautiful city swamped with snow.
A UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Orthodox Monastery of St. Catherine is at the foot of Mount Horeb, where it’s said that Moses received the ten commandments, according to the Old Testament. The mountain is known as Jebel Mousa by Muslims, and the area is sacred to the three religions; Christianity, Islam, and Judaism.
