A fully-fledged and perfectly designed Egyptian resort town on the Red Sea, offering a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of metropolitan Cairo; you guessed it folks, we are here to talk about El Gouna. El Gouna is not only home to premium services for those looking to unwind and enjoy beautiful beaches all year round, it has also recently become home to several huge events like El Gouna International Film Festival and world-class sports competitions.

Given all this, it is no surprise that El Gouna has recently become the venue of choice for travellers from around the world. On a related side note, British travel company, Thomas Cook, has stated that summer bookings in Egypt are up by 15%, while winter 2019/2020 bookings have increased by 57%, based on a company press release that has been recently published on their official website.

In light of El Gouna’s beauty and world travellers’ rising interest in Egypt, Thomas Cook has confirmed that it will open two new hotels in El Gouna later this year. Cook’s Club will open its doors this August, with the Casa Cook opening later in October. Last December, we were informed that Orascom Development Egypt will work with the travel company to develop the Casa Cook Hotel and rebrand Arena Inn into the Cook’s Club.

We’ll keep you posted folks, as some more exciting news pieces for this season are coming up!
