Many of us love to make the most out of Ain El Sokhna before it’s too warm to spend our weekends and holidays in the Red Sea. But considering Sokhna is more of a family destination and the fact that we mostly go there for very short trips and weekends, many of us see it as far too boring for a longer stay, and we cut our trips short. However, it’s a real shame, as Sokhna can be enormous fun on top of being so conveniently close to Cairo. This information may be brand new for many or even difficult to believe, but we want to let you know that there is more to Sokhna than just being the nearest beach getaway. With activities available for the adventurous types, fun ways to spend your day if you prefer to relax, and entertaining places to spend your evening, here are some of the ways to not stay bored in Ain El Sokhna.

Sokhna has some great places to visit if you’re into fun physical activities. First and foremost, if you’re into adventuring and don’t know where to go for these activities in Sokhna, we got you. IL Monte Galala’s mountain top basecamp by Rock n’ Rope is loads of fun and has just about any activity you can think of. You can try zip-lining, rock climbing, and hiking. They also provide water sports facilities, including a sailing school and marine life spotting!

But if you’re the sporty kind, there are definitely facilities available for you. Other than the many football and basketball fields, Azha and Jaz Hotel in Little Venice both have great gyms. Azha may be the more exciting destination for sports enthusiasts, though, as they host not only a BeFit 360 gym but also SR Padel courts, as well as tennis and squash courts. You also have the golf course between Little Venice and Ein Bay, which is great for those who enjoy a round.

Those who couldn’t be bothered to move a limb while travelling worry not. There are other things to do than sitting by the beach during the day and going to bed early. You have the option for the second most popular lazy activity out there (after chilling by the beach, of course), and that is obviously going to a spa. Places like Thalasso Spa in Stella Di Mare and Tanoak Hotel in Azha are great places to get a massage, go to a sauna, or relax in a jacuzzi.

If you’re the kind of person who is in touch with nature, you may want to consider camping. Once again, IL Monte Galala’s base camp comes to the rescue! They have a gorgeous eco-friendly campsite, which also serves for glamping (camping but with facilities its traditional counterpart lacks – or glamourous camping). Nothing can be more relaxing than sitting by their bonfire pit at night while stargazing.

Porto Sokhna will forever be in our hearts, but sometimes we need to go out somewhere just a tad more exciting. Stella Di Mare is definitely known for being the Sokhna resort with the most exciting nightlife and places to go out. They have Sailor’s Pub, which is a great place to grab a few drinks, and Clique Beach Club, which is tons of fun, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. But there are other great places to go out. You may want to consider having dinner at Mistiqa at Ein Bay, which makes the most delicious barbeque and fetir imaginable. Jaz Hotel is excellent for enjoying a meal while watching football matches. Lastly, Club M in Azha not only has amazing food, but an incredible ambience, having hosted some of the world’s biggest DJs, including Adriatique, Fideles, and Tales of Us.
