Founded 12 years ago, Orbit Showtime Network is one of the oldest and most well-established in Egypt. Now with streaming as well, it’s more accessible than ever. It brings content like movies, documentaries, and TV shows from major networks and studios all over the world, including Nickelodeon, Paramount, BBC, Disney, ABC Studios, National Geographic, and beIN Sports, as well as others that still haven’t launched in Africa and the Middle East like HBO.
- Subscription fees: For OSN +, it’s EGP 150/month with a 7-day free trial and up to five profiles. For Live TV, it’s EGP 299/month.
Netflix needs no introduction. With its rate of production and new shows and movies every day, more and more people are subscribing by the second. It offers a variety of award-winning TV shows, movies, anime, and documentaries.
- Subscription fees: The cheapest plan is EGP 120/month, increasing to EGP 200/month, depending on how many profiles, and a variety of other options.
MBC Shahid is relatively new but is gaining traction every day. Producing new MENA-oriented content, it’s changing the game of TV production in Egypt and the MENA region. TV Shows, movies, stand-up comedy shows, and multiple types of programmes are easily accessible.
- Subscription fees: There are three different packages; Sports Shahid for EGP 99/month, Imagine Shahid for EGP 89/month, and the most popular, Shahid VIP for EGP 49/month.
Watchit is a purely Egyptian streaming site (and app – like many of the others). It offers a large variety of Egyptian and non-Egyptian films, network TV shows, and its own original productions.
- Subscription fees: One device is EGP 75/month. Two devices are EGP 99/month, and three are EGP 120/month.
