The Dawar Art Festival returns from 19th to 25th of June to Downtown Cairo in 2025, building on last year’s celebration of storytelling and narrative power with a bold new theme: “What’s Beyond ‘And Then…’?”

This year’s edition dares to sit with the questions that follow endings. It explores the raw, in-between moments that come after transformation, crisis, or resolution—spaces filled not with closure, but with possibility. Rather than seeking finality, the festival embraces uncertainty and regeneration, inviting artists and audiences alike to imagine what might come next when a story doesn’t neatly conclude.

Through a rich programme of visual art exhibitions, theatre performances, live music, public seminars, and community encounters, the festival opens up space for reflection, dialogue, and creative speculation—positioning healing not as an end, but as an ongoing journey.

All events will take place in the vibrant heart of Downtown Cairo, where stories begin again.
