Originating from Aswan, Basheer is very much grounded in his deep cultural roots and this allows him to produce a unique combination of oriental sounds mixed with modern twists. It’s a whole new genre of Upper Egyptian folkloric music. Reservations at Cairo Jazz Club are recommended.
