Cairo Jazz Festival: Eftekasat at Al Azhar Park
Formed in 2001, the success of Eftekasat has been building and steadily spreading throughout the region, taking them to numerous Arabic and European jazz festivals over the years. ‘Eftekasat’, which they translate as meaning ‘new inventions’, presumably refers to their fusion style of jazz, which combines rock and world music and all together results in a high energy and unorthodox performance.
