‘Cairo Station’ Screening at Netherlands-Flemish Institute
As part as NVIC ‘Divas of Cinema’, they will be screening Youssef Chahine’s ‘Cairo Station’ (1958) starring Hend Rostom. The film highlights class struggles and tells the love story of a man and a woman who is destined to marry someone else. The film was nominated for awards before it was banned for 20 years. It will be shown in Arabic with English subtitles.
