Caravan Festival of the Arts at St. John’s Church
The Caravan Festival is an interfaith art gathering of premier Middle Eastern and Western artists, using their medium as a bridge for intercultural and inter-religious dialogue. 45 artists from around the world have contributed to the ‘My Neighbor’ exhibition. In addition, a parallel exhibition is being held, entitled ‘The People’s Egypt since 25th January’. A diverse range of artists will participate, including Khaled El Khamissi, author of the popular novel Taxi, and world renowned Ney player Mohammed Antar. Attendance is free, and 20% of all art sales go to Middle Eastern charities.
