‘Cristo Si e Fermato Ad Eboli’ Screening at Italian Cultural Institute

Based on the book by Carlo Levi, ‘Cristo Si e Fermato Ad Eboli’ (1979) which translates to ‘Christ stopped at Eboli’ is a tale of an Italian, anti-fascist who is forced into exile in a remote, undeveloped village in Southern Italy,  where people are struggling to survive whilst the rest of Italy continues to prosper. Legend has it that God’s work stopped beyond the train station of Eboli, the nearest transport link to the village. Italian with English subtitles. Attendance is free.
