‘El Leila El Kebira’ Ballet at Alexandria Opera House
‘El Leila El Kebira’ was originally a famous puppet operetta that dates back to the late 50s. Written by poet Salah Jahin, Choreographer Abdel Moneim Kamel has turned it into a ballet performance. The piece centres on the last night of a moulid, depicting different scenes from this street carnival. The performance will be held at Alexandria’s Opera House, also known as Sayed Darwish Theatre.
