Huma Rights Meet the Street: ‘Speak Up’ Talk at AUC
As part of AUC’s Human Rights awareness week, a forum will discuss the role of street art, including graffiti, hip-hop music, break-dance, citizen media, and film, as a means of resistance to political oppression. The event will include a panel discussion on hip-hop’s history and uses. Later the organisers of Syria’s first independent film festival, Doxbox, will outline their work and screen a film. The event will take place at Mansour Hall.
