‘Hydrarchy: Transitional & Transformative Seas’ Symposium at Contemporary Image Collective
Looking at the geopolitical significance of the sea as a space, this symposium will feature seminars and open discussions with Ayed Arafah, Iain Chambers, Annie R. Gardner, Bouchra Khalili, Uriel Orlow, Xaviera Simmons and Lawrence Weiner looking at the Mediterranean Basin, the Suez Canal, besieged Gaza, and the broader North African context, from the perspective of their waters and the actions that take place upon them. The symposium will be followed by an exhibition at the CIC in downtown.
