Nazra for Feminist Studies is a Women’s Rights focused research organization that has started a recent cultural program that
tackles controversial social taboos in Egypt. The program includes the participation of
writers and movie makers in addition to the screening of important movies
that support Nazra’s beliefs. One of these movies is ‘Hymen National’ from Tunisian Director Jamel Mokni. The 59
minute movie tackles many social taboos in Arab society.
