‘Mahfouz and Italy’ at the Italian Cultural Centre
In commemoration of Naguib Mahfouz’s
centenary, the Italian Cultural Centre in Zamalek will host a night celebrating
the Nobel Prize winner’s work and legacy with figures of the literary world
such as Gamal Al Ghitani, Isabella Camera D’Afflitto and Rossella Sfogliano. A
screening of 1961 film Bidaya wa Nihaya (the beginning and the end) based on
a novel by Mahfouz will be screened. Attendance is free.
