Spring Awakening Performance at Goethe Institute
The Goethe Institute’s Rawabet Theatre shows performance of ‘Spring Awakening’ this month. The play has been described as ‘a children’s tragedy’ and tells the story of teens coming of age in urban German society. Originally written by Frank Wedekind and performed in German, it has been adapted to Arabic, and altered to reflect on young adults coming of age in Egyptian culture.
