Tarek Osman at Netherlands-Flemish Institute
Like some sort of
prophecy, Tarek Osman’s 2010 book ‘Egypt on the Brink: From Nasser to Mubarak’ is
a perfect prerequisite for the subsequent events of January and February in
2011. Osman has since aptly updated the book under the title ‘From the rise of
Nasser to the Fall of Mubarak’, and few people understand the complexities of
the January 25th revolution and the Mubarak regime as he does.
