‘The Cultures of Resistance’ Screening at Townhouse Gallery
Film director/activist Lara Lee has recently released Cultures of
Resistance, a feature-film-length documentary that has gained remarkably
sensational traction around the globe. The film shows the
struggle against poverty, oppression (with all its facets and
colors), exploitation, inherent corruption and social, environmental
and economic injustice and degradation around the world through
different forms of artistic expression; be it graffiti and music in Iran,
poetry, dance and photography in South America, or underground hip-hop in
Palestine just to name a few. The screening is free of charge and will be held at 7PM.
