‘The Father & the Foreigner’ Screening at Italian Cultural Institute
We gave this 2010 film two and half stars but can’t deny that its an interesting tale, with a family drama at its heart, plus gritty crime writer Giancarlo De Cataldo behind its script. It also includes sterling performances by Navine Labaki and Alessandro Gassman, not to mention Amr Waked who will be at the screening to discuss the film afterwards. Italian with Arabic subtitles. Attendance is free.
