‘The Picture Story’ Workshop at Townhouse Gallery
To accompany his exhibition ‘Mister President’s Circus’, photographer John Perkins willalso host a workshop titled ‘The Picture Story’. Perkins intends to raise, explore, and answer several questions about the process of capturing images. Why take more than one picture of the same subject? How does the meaning of pictures change over time? How can a photographer choose pictures from a year’s work? How can photographers control how their work is seen? Sessions start on Saturday, May 28th, and weekends on June 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, and 18. The workshop will conclude with a showcase of participants work on June 20th at Rawabet Theatre.
