Cairo 360
The Cairo-based art initiative behind grand exhibitions like Eye on the Globe, Peacock for Art, continues to take art to new horizons and to expand the range of audiences to include all walks of life, through its endless efforts to showcase art away from its conventional habitats, like art galleries and museums.
And taking part in supporting up-and-coming Egyptian artists, Peacock for Art teamed up with Medrar for Contemporary Art; the nonprofit collective that was founded in 2005 to create space for local and international artists to interact and experiment through hosting art events and workshops.
Peacock for Art offered a portfolio website to one of the winners at Medrar for Contemporary Art’s most anticipated annual art competition and exhibition, Roznama. The prize was given to Egyptian artist Mohammed Samir El Gindy.
