It’s a busy weekend in the city. In addition to the usual, wide range of events that Cairo has to offer, loads of Christmas bazaars will be opening their doors for all the gift hunters out there. Without further ado, let’s see what’s happening in the next couple of days:

Thursday begins with a religious music night at El Gomhoria Theatre, with Religious Song Ensemble taking to the stage; a classics night at ROOM Art Space Garden City, where local band Elvis cover a round of tunes by the King; a folk music night at El Dammah Theater sees El Rango Troupe playing a host of Sudanese beats.

And while Egyptian pop star Mohammed Hamaki sings some of his all-time-favourites on the stage at Cairo Festival City Mall, Cairo’s funniest men and women throw some punch lines at Darb 1718 for its stand-up comedy/mic night.

The Tap West’s Elektro Live night sees TWOB and DJ Al-Sharif in charge of the music.

On Friday, megastar Mohammed Mounir takes to the stage at Heliopolis Sports club, songstress Nouran Abou Taleb pays tribute to Lebanese Diva Faioruz at Grand Nile Tower, while Vyrus cover a round of hits by Metallica at Darb 1718.

While El Sawy Culturewheel welcomes Fabrica for a special night, where the troupe takes to the stage to sing a round of all-time-favourite Disney classics, ROOM Art Space Garden City hosts a Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute night.

The Disc Jockeys take over at The Tap East; while at Cairo Jazz Club 610, Ma Yatloboho El Mostame3oon Night features Mahmoud El Esseily and Ramy DJunkie.

When Saturday comes, Rana Haggag takes to the stage at ROOM Art Space Garden City for a round of jazz tunes, Hana Abaza sings an acoustic set on stage at The Tap East, while The Tap Maadi’s Jam Night welcomes the city’s musically talented to take to the stage.

The Weekend comes to an end with Spade of Hearts playing jazz at The Tap West, and Nour Project singing Arabic jazz songs at Cairo Jazz Club.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg, check the Cairo 360 Events page for more places to go, and things to do.
