Pace e Luce: Lebanese Hair Salon Now Open in Cairo

At long last, Maadi receives
its own luxury hair salon with the first Egyptian branch of Pace e Luce, the renowned
Lebanese salon brand. Housed in a palatial villa with beautifully manicured
lawns and a large valet parking pavilion, Pace e Luce is a haven of sophistication
and style in a neighbourhood that notoriously lacks in quality hair salon
options.

The salon has several
spacious stylish rooms on the ground floor, with spa treatment areas located
upstairs. The interiors are sleek, with small plasma televisions next to each
chair tuned to Fashion TV. Hair washing chairs are high-tech, with adjustable
leg rests that prevent neck cramping during washing.

Friendly bilingual staff
members greet as you enter, ready to whisk you off to whatever service that you
require. Unsurprisingly, many of the stylists at Pace e Luce are Lebanese, a
positive sign when it comes to their expertise in cutting and colouring.

Along with the usual menu of
blow-dry, cutting, colouring and elaborate updos as well as mani-pedis, Pace e
Luce also offers an extensive service menu providing many options rarely
offered in other Cairo hair salons. Services include a range of facials
starting at 400LE, Keratin treatments (price upon request), as well as teeth
whitening, tanning and permanent makeup (prices vary according to the number of
sessions required). They also offer makeup classes and bridal packages.

A basic blow-dry will set you
back a hefty 100LE, a record high for a Cairo
hair salon that is not located inside a five-star hotel. While the atmosphere and service at Pace e Luce are sublime,
this price is difficult to justify in a city where the same service can be found
for as little as 35LE. Furthermore, it is hard to prove that stylists at this upscale
salon possess superior blow-drying skills that justify the insane price.

That being said, for high-quality
cutting and colour services, Pace e Luce is an excellent choice. Cuts start at
200LE and colouring at 250LE, but these prices are reasonable when considering
the long-term damage that could result from undergoing these treatments at less
professional salons.

Relax after your treatment at their ladies’ coffee shop, which serves drinks and sandwiches made with
the salon’s homemade baguettes! The salon also has a VIP lounge for a private spa experience.

For a truly superior salon
experience in Maadi with high standards of service, style and quality, Pace e
Luce is the luxury haven for those looking for equal measures of skill and style in their salon experience.

360 Tip

When leaving, be sure to turn right out of the valet parking lot as the street is a dead end.

Best Bit

Friendly, luxurious salon with great staff

Worst Bit

Prices are some of the steepest in Cairo.
