What’s better than stealing a lunch hour away from your cold office life, to grab a juicy burger. The American-style self-service diner, Good Stuff Eatery at Galleria 40 is the perfect spot for your escape plan.

Good Stuff Eatery has been working hard to establish a name among the highly competitive burger scene in Cairo. Spacious, with the vibes of a modern diner, the place has indoor and outdoor areas; we chose the second, to enjoy the beautiful weather. 

The all-American menu includes beef and chicken burgers that are served in buttered buns, as well as a round of salads. We opted for the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich (85 LE), the Sunnyside Burger (90 LE), with the additions of fries and a soda (45LE), and fries and a shake (65LE).

The Nashville Hot Chicken is a fried chicken breast, dressed in hot sauce and pickles, that comes in a brioche bun. Perfectly breaded with a crunchy crust, the chicken was very tender and moist on the inside. The sweetness of the tasty brioche bun worked well with the spicy flavour of the sauce. We were glad we ordered a vanilla milkshake to counter the heat from the sandwich; the milkshake had a balanced consistency, yet it was a little too sweet to our liking.                                                                                                                  

Also served in a brioche bun, the Sunnyside Burger consists of a patty, topped with a fried egg, American cheese, and the Good Stuff Sauce. The patty, which, had a smooth texture, was juicy and well-seasoned. Tasting more like a blend of mustard and burger sauce, the Good Stuff Sauce had nothing special about it. As for the fries, despite being hot and crispy, some of them were slightly over-fried.

In a nutshell, Good Stuff Eatery delivers what it promises in terms of food and service, we were quite happy with our selections, but there are other items on the menu that sound appetising, and other shakes that we’re eager to try out on another visit.
