Whether you liked it or not, 2019 is taking its last breaths. And just like every year, Cairo’s many venues can’t bid the year adieu without one final bash, dinner, or even a cosy gathering that will brace you for 2020.

The night comes with an Italian vibe at Sheraton Cairo Hotel’s Giannini’s, with a dinner that includes beer and wine, as well as some live entertainment, while Le Meridien Cairo Airport’s EVOO delivers a dinner for 555LE++. At Semiramis InterContinental Cairo, Pane Vino’s, New Year’s Eve dinner comes with live entertainment, Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza’s Bella hosts a six-course meal dinner, which sees a DJ taking to the decks (1800LE+++). Elsewhere, The Nile Ritz-Carlton’s Vivo teams up with Bar’Oro for a special night called Dine and Dance; Eish & Malh, in Downtown Cairo, has a dinner with a guitarist playing acoustic tunes on the stage; New Cairo’s Lexie’s brings a DJ to the decks; Rossini, in Heliopolis, sees a DJ Lyon Avakian spinning some tunes.

If you want to celebrate the night with a Lebanese twist, Le Meridien’s Mezzeh delivers a set menu dinner (999LE), while Semiramis InterContinental Cairo hosts a massive night of authentic delights that comes with an Oriental entertainment programme. Alternatively, Conrad Cairo’s OAK Grill serves a 5-course dinner.

Speaking of Oriental, the Sheraton Cairo Hotel celebrates 2020 at El Mawardia with an Egyptian/Khalidji music night and a belly-dance performance, at prices between 1800 and 1200LE – according to the seating area. Four Seasons Hotel at Nile Plaza’s Zitouni hosts a buffet that gathers a spectrum of Middle Eastern delights (1450LE+++), while Jayda Nile Terrace at Conrad Cairo offers a four-course dinner that comes with a breathtaking view of the Nile. Haroun El Rashid, at Semiramis InterContinental Cairo, hosts a massive night that brings a series of stars on the stage, with a similar theme going on at Conrad Cairo’s Stage One

You can start a brand new year the Asian way in Heliopolis at sushi restaurant Sachi, where DJ Nadim is on the menu, or at Kazuko in New Cairo, with DJ Emad spinning some tunes.  Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza’s Eight offers a five-course dinner at the price of 1950LE+++, while Kamala at Conrad Cairo hotel offers an authentic Thai five-course feast. First boat’s Nairu brings the best of the continent with a set menu that comprises authentic Indian, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese flavours (1250LE+++).

As international cuisine lovers, Heliopolis’ Esca offers Latin-inspired delights, which comes with a dose of entertainment courtesy of DJ Fabric, while Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza’s Upper Deck offers a five-course dinner and a DJ taking to the stage (1250LE+++). Grand Nile Tower hosts a series of feasts, at The Revolving Restaurant, The Marquise Boat, as well as Sakia Souq. Westin Cairo Golf Resort and Spa hosts a New Year’s Eve party that sees DJ Nadeem Assal and Sahar taking to the stage.

Elsewhere, Live Sports bar at Le Meridien delivers a night at 800LE, The Bar at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza serves a round of canapés (1250LE+++) on a night that sees a pianist taking to the stage. Sheraton Cairo Hotel’s Studio 70 hosts a massive night (1200LE), and Semiramis InterContinental’s Cleopatra ballroom hosts Gold Gala. Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza’s ballroom, Plaza, hosts a massive New Year’s Eve party that sees megastar, Hakim, taking to the stage, as well as Lebanese pop star, Haifa Wahbe, in addition to a special belly-dance performance by the one and only Sofinar.
