Before
you get all too excited about the words ‘designer’ and ‘outlet’ in one sentence;
hold your horses. Tica’s take up half a floor of an apartment in Mohandiseen on
Abdel Moneim Riad street and is filled with designer clothing and shoes from
brands like Diane von Furstenberg, DKNY, Christian Lacroix, Pucci, Victor &
Rolf, Elie Tahari, Moschino and many others.

The
entrance is locked so you are required to ring the bell if you want to enter.
Inside is a big room and an annex filled with clothing. The venue does kind of
remind us of an outlet because it appears a bit messy. Shoes are lined up
underneath the clothing racks. There is no categorisation as such. It’s not
like coats are with coats and pink is with pink; instead everything is mixed.. On
top of this, most items don’t have a price tag. Instead you have to enquire
about the prices the whole time. 

Most of
the designs appear to be relatively up to date and are three seasons old at the
most.  The prices are a bit inconsistent with
some items being overly expensive whereas others products are cheap for what
you get For example; a pair of awesome killer heels from Dutch designer
darlings Viktor & Rolf will set you back 1290LE. Leather belts from DKNY
are between 330LE and 500LE and miniscule silk Pucci scarves go for 550LE. There
is a large collection of jackets by Diane von Furstenberg and most of them are
around 900LE.

The nicest pieces come from the hand of Elie Tahari. The designs
are bright and colorfull and because Tahari uses silk a lot the designs look
very classy. Jeans by this brand are around 320LE and shirts start around 350.
There is also a small collection by Jean Paul Gaultier with blouses setting you
back 630LE. There is also a great collection of bags by various brands, most of
which are between 1500LE and 2500LE.

The most
expensive items we found were the fur products. A fur Moschino scarf is 1550LE
and we found a fur gillet for 4100LE. We advise you to score one at H&M for
500LE. Apart from the clothing there is also a small section of towels and home
products. The staff is friendly and tries to stalk you in a subtle way. When
looking for something special you should give this shop a chance for its
one-of-a-kind stock.
