As the decade nears its end with a brand new year hanging around the corner, everyone across the world is planning their next vacation destination. In an article published by The Independent titled ‘This Is Where the Experts Recommend for Travel Next Year, From Egypt to Pakistan’, Egypt has been listed among the recommended destinations.
Luxury tour operator, Abercrombie & Kent recommended Cairo’s most-anticipated Grand Egyptian Museum. After flights to Sharm El Sheikh resumed, the article stated that 11 million tourists visited Egypt in 2018, and the numbers are expected to rise in the coming year.
“Set to be the world’s largest archaeological museum, this exhibition space will showcase a vast array of ancient Egyptian finds – 30,000 of which have never been exhibited to the public”, said The Independent in its travel guide.
After its opening in 2020, the museum is expected to be promoted with three films by Discovery Channel, which will also have a positive change towards Egypt’s tourism rates. According to Egypt Independent, “National Geographic also selected Egypt’s Aswan among its city picks for 2020”, which promises that we’ll be seeing a lot of tourists exploring the country very soon.
