Egypt’s cultural and sightseeing activities are vast and diverse, but in the Holy Month of Ramadan, one feels that it’s time to explore ancient Islamic Cairo. One of the best places to do that is El-Muizz Street, which is filled to the brim with mosques and ancient buildings. Walking down the street, you’ll stumble across more sights than you can imagine, but this Ramadan, it gets even better.

The General Department of Historic Cairo has decided to organise a Ramadan Kheima and daily activities to celebrate the Holy Month. Starting from the 6th of Ramadan, there will be daily cultural and artistic activities in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, and will extend till the 20th of Ramadan.

Your Ramadan nights just got cultural, and every day from 8 pm to 11 pm, you can enjoy these activities at one of the most historical streets in all of Cairo. There will also be a gallery showcasing different ancient artefacts running from the 23rd of May till the 2nd of June. Activities will include oriental arts from different governorates in Egypt, as well as a number of musical and theatrical performances.

Be sure not to miss that experience this Ramadan. You’ll be glad you tried out something different other than the typical Sohours and Tents.
