Chefs from all corners of the globe came together in Cairo, Egypt, from May 9th to May 16th to experience the Egyptian table during Cairo Food Week. With an inspiring atmosphere bringing together Cairo’s – and the world’s – leading talents in the realm of food and hospitality and supporting the development of the industry, the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza was a proud hospitality partner with Cairo Food Week, taking on a stronger presence within the culinary calendar.  Here is everything that went down throughout the event.

Cairo Food Week features events, talks, exhibitions, screenings, and activities, taking place within Cairo’s most prominent lifestyle districts and cultural venues. Led by more than 20 of the world’s most celebrated chefs, alongside luminaries and rising stars from Egypt and the wider MENA Region, over 40 events were planned throughout the week.

Kickstarting the culinary voyage was a press conference on May 12th, 2024, hosted by Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza, followed by a special collaboration dinner with guest Chef Riccardo Forapani and hosted by Hotel Executive Chef Benat Alonso and Chef de Cuisine Stefano Maffioli Ferrari at Riviera restaurant. The extravagant seven-course menu, which has also been sourced from local organic products, was preceded by a cocktail reception, allowing guests to whet their appetites and take in the panoramic views of the Nile River.

The one-of-a-kind menu included specialities such as Crème Caramel al Parmigiano Reggiano, 36-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano flan, roasted onion and Villa Manodori traditional balsamic Vinegar, Mediterranean Yellow Tail Latxa fig leaf and almond cold broth, lacto Muscat grapes, Maadi spring pickled capers, Vongole e Filetto, Chargrilled aged beef fillet, Telline clams, smoked celeriac, Alexandrian sea fennel, Duck Liver Mahalabeya, 100% cocoa and black garlic, pistachio, orange blossom, pasta frita, Fiori rosa, Fiori di pesco, Babà with basil cream, peach, elderberry jelly, and edible flowers.
