We’re midway through December, and winter is really getting into its stride. Why don’t you warm up this weekend with some vibrant dancing on the dance floor and some lively cheering for your favourite musicians. Not sure where to go? No worries. We’ve got you covered with the hottest parties and concerts happening this weekend in our beloved capital.

Start the weekend this Thursday with some hot old school hits from pop, rock, and disco genres in Mashup Thursday at Bella Figura, courtesy of DJ AKM. You can also go to the other side of town in The Tap West as Cheeseballs and Ahmet Kilic light up the Sheikh Zayed hotspot with their pop bangers and deep house tracks. For something more diverse, CJC is prepping for an intense party featuring tons of DJs, as EPIC 101 Studios return to CJC after their epic show last month. Elegance awaits at OPIA Cairo, with the sky-high bar bringing you a Thursday night with Nader Nelson on the decks, spreading cool beats for your smooth dance floor moves.

For a more musical night at an earlier hour, you can hit El Sawy Culturewheel for a captivating live performance by local band, Qarar Ezala, or get jazzy with Room Art Space hosting Jazzophronics for some smooth jazz music. Al Rab3 also has quite a special oriental night in place, as Sarah El Rawy sings some beautiful Mawawil with her stunning voice.

After a good night’s sleep, get ready to get rowdy this Friday with Tech It Up night featuring Carlos, Ebbo, and Hala B lighting up the 24K Lounge. Drive all the way to New Cairo for some hot house music courtesy of Aguizi & Fahim at The Tap East, or enjoy the oriental mixes of Disco Misr at CJC 610 on the other side of town. For a musical night, hit The Tap Maadi, as Maadi Calling play the best punk and ska classics for a hot weekend party. You can also enjoy the Arabic rock songs of Malaz, performing live at El Sawy Culture Wheel, or relax with Ney player, Mohamed Antar and his band, with a live performance at Room Art Space in Garden City. Finally, you can go to Heliopolis for the live performance of Ko7etee taking to the stage with Arabic rock tunes at Bedayat.

If you’re looking to start the fun earlier, you can hit The Tap West for their delicious Friday brunch, along the soothing acoustic tunes of Hamed El Sayeh. You can also enjoy the delightful brunch menu of CJC 610 this Friday, with Omar Emara playing hot acoustic pop covers.

Saturday festivities can start early with Saturday Brunch & Chill at CJC 610, the delicious brunch menu is complemented by the hot beats of Meska and kidmims on the decks. Get an early dose of Christmas spirit at El Sawy Culture Wheel with Fabrica’s Christmas celebration, performing live various festive covers. If you’re looking for something more classical, Cairo Opera house is hosting ‘An Evening with Beethoven’, while Darb 1718 is where the party’s at, El Festival is rocked by a host of artists including Disco Misr, Hawas, Bahgaga, El Mina, and more. Grand Nile Tower is collaborating with Room Art Space to bring you a grand experience featuring Strawberry Swing performing Coldplay’s best songs, and Seattle band performing the best hits of the iconic band, Nirvana.

But, if you’re looking for a straight up party, 24K is the place to go with DJ Mobbz and DJ Soul M teaming up this Saturday with the freshest beats in town. Tap East also has you covered with DJ Kashouty taking over the decks for the night, while Mostafa Hagag is lighting up Gu Lounge for an oriental night with belly dancers and DJs.
