The weekend has just begun, so delve deep into what the city has to offer. Brandishing a spectrum of events that will keep you entertained, here’s what this weekend is all about:

Thursday begins with a hip-hop night at Darb 1718, where Hamorabi, and MrKordy take to the stage for a round of tunes, while it’s all about jazz at ROOM Art Space Garden City, courtesy of Tonic Trio who play a round of covers by Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and the likes.

Elsewhere, El Sawy Culturewheel hosts another edition of Om Kalthoum Returns, AfriCairo welcomes all the talented Cairenes out there to take to the stage on its openjam night, as well as Ideaspace, where arms are wide open for everyone to join the open-mic night.

When the night grows older, Another hip-hop and R&B night takes place at The Tap Maadi, where DJ Doggy Dogg hits the decks, while a pop night begins at The Tap East, where DJ Lyon Avakian will be spinning the tunes. Cairo Jazz Club 610 hosts a tech-house night, courtesy of Seif and Ouzo, while The Tap West’s Elektrolive features DJ Shunus, DJ TOWB, as well as DJ Al Sharif.

As for Friday, Do’Souka takes to the stage at ROOM Art Space New Cairo for a round of underground Arabic hits, Strawberry Swing cover some Coldplay classics at Darb 1718, while Kikoman head to the stage at ROOM Art Space Garden City for a jazz night.

The night sees two hip-hop and R&B nights; one at The Tap West, where DJ Soul M, and DJ Feedo are in charge, and another at Cairo Jazz 610, courtesy of DJ Mobbz, and DJ AK. When it comes to house music, DJs AymanNageeb, and DJ Arrab take over at Cairo Jazz Club, while Aguizi&Fahim are on the menu at The Tap East. Friday night at The Tap Maadi sees Ramsi Lehner serving some Afro-Elektro tunes.

On Saturday, AfriCairo hosts an open-mic night, ROOM Art Space Garden City nurses the heartbroken with a night called Sad Songs for Your Soul, while Asyad El Zar serve a round of folk tunes at El Dammah Theatre. This edition of Darb 1718’s MazzikaXElSat7 sees The Gypsy Jazz Projecttaking to the stage, while ROOM Art Space New Cairo’s jazz night sees Groove Essentials playing covers by Joshua Redman, Marcus Miller, Herbie Hancock, and more.

Elsewhere, The Tap Jazz Quartet takes to the stage at The Tap West, Farah Khalil plays a round of acoustic tunes at The Tap Maadi, Rai-na offer a rai music night at The Tap East, while El Dor El Awal seal the night with a number of contemporaryArabic  tunes at Cairo Jazz Club.
