Hello Cairo,

It’s almost back to school time and before worrying about how the school rush may get to your heard, seize the weekend and chill in some of the city’s non-stop nightlife entertainment; where Thursday sees Shady Ahmed playing his cozy acoustic tracks over at Cairo Jazz Club followed by leading Beatles tribute band, Glass Onions, taking to the stage their rock-notch Beatles covers.

DJ Teddy entertains the crowd of the Tap in Maadi with his selected tracks, a mash-up musical night with DJ Roro, drummer Shaaban and saxophonist Loay can be enjoyed over at Four Seasons Nile Plaza’s Graffiti and once again, dynamic DJ trio, 3bkarino, Kiko and Bob play their sets at afterhours club, Bamboo, whereas over at Heliopolis nightclub, Cavallini, Thursday night means live non-stop house music.

Friday sees a busy night for Cairo’s underground scene; where Cairo Jazz Club welcomes DJs Kidmims and Nouree Fahmy, Eclectic band plays their fuse of Jazz and Latin music over at ROOM Art Space, Egyptian singer, Hanan Mady, returns to Cairo Opera House performing some of her best songs, Shaware3na band playing over at El Sawy’s River Hall, while Ismail Sadek sings at El Sawy’s Wisdom Hall.

Cavallini and Bamboo host their typical Friday night craze; with a Lebanese-flavored night over at the first, and resident DJs 3bkarino, Kiko and Bob on the decks of the latter, playing their secretive sets on Secret Friday.

Saturday sees a night of versatile live entertainment; where Cairo Jazz Club welcomes, for the very first time, DJs Islam Chipsy,Sadat and 50 for a night of Electro Shaabi fuse, RaShRadio performs some of his original songs and lyrics over at the Tap, Cavallini reminisces with their crowd at their weekly Oldies night, whereas Sudanese singer, Asia Madani, returns to Cairo with her African-Sudanese combo at ROOM Art Space and JW Marriott’s Ahlein restaurant, welcomes an oriental-flavored musical night.

Cairene Harry Potter fanatics out there—but only those who received Hogwarts’ acceptance letter—are in for an exciting and unforgettable day, where they will indulge in a true Harry Potter experience organized by the Patient Support Team at Rafaheya entertainment center.

You can still have a glimpse at some of our own local artists’ creations, with art galleries in the city holding their summer exhibitions featuring works of several contemporary Egyptian artists, including Nile Art Gallery, Gallery Grant, Gezirah Art Center and Zamalek Art Gallery.
