As we ease ourselves back into a more familiar nocturnal routine, more and more businesses are staying open for longer and events are kicking off all over the city.

Thursday sees Kempinski Hotel’s Cloudeleven return with new weeklynight, the Sunset Sessions, with DJs Amr Hosny and Hisham Zahran in charge of the music. A little down the river, DJ Roro hits the decks at Four Seasons Nile Plaza nightspot, Graffiti. If that’s not enough to give you a fever, head over to Alchemy’s ‘Shiver’, for a vodka-infused cocktail or three. Cairo Rumours are celebrating cocktails too, complete with live music from their resident singers. Meanwhile, Screwdriver return to Cairo Jazz Club, whilst award-winning band, Nagham Masry, hit the stage at Beit El Raseef. Also, if you’re feeling brave, Car Cafe Club will have you ‘Dancing ‘til Dawn’ at their all night party.

Elsewhere, Cairo’s favourite Jazz singer, Ahmed Harfoush, is back with a nostalgic night of 80’s sing-a-longs at Saigon Restaurant & Lounge, whe the El Sakia Puppet Theater  celebrate late vocalist Fareed El Atrash by putting on a puppet show to his signature sounds.

With the curfew still starting at 7PM on a Friday, events are pretty thin, but it doesn’t stop Artellewa from hosting a cosy screening of ’21 Grams’. On Saturday, funk and blues band, Salalem, head to Cairo Jazz Club and for all you book worms out there, Bikya in Nasr City are holding a huge book sale for one day only.

Check out the Cairo 360 events calendar for more live music, exhibitions and parties –  and have a good weekend!
