Still didn’t get a chance to join in on the Christmas festivities? Well, buckle up because this week has a whole lot more events than last week. December might just be getting started, but the warmth of the Christmas spirit has surely landed in our hearts by now!
Arkan’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Extravaganza
Start the weekend with Arkan’s Christmas Tree Lighting event. They’ll be having an extravagant lights and fireworks show, as well as a performance by London-based Egyptian jazz vocalist, Harfoush!

AUC Xmas Bazaar
AUC is striking again this week with yet another Christmas event. This time they’ll be having their Christmas goodies sold to the sounds of Nessma Mahgoub and the musical theatre band Fabrica.

Location: The American University in Cairo
Christmas Cooking Class
Hilton Ramses Hotel’s professional chefs are hosting a cooking class of all your favourite Christmas dishes. The event is being held at Opia In the Sky overlooking the Nile and includes breakfast, lunch, and a Christmas gift alongside the cooking class.

H.O.C. Christmas Festival
The Heliopolis Orthodox Club is having their annual Christmas bazaar with over 70 vendors showcasing their hand-crafted goods to the melodious background carols sung by Strings and Kicks.

The Sinatras Christmas Night
The Sinatras will collaborate with Lynn Hisham for a night of Christmas carols and, of course, Sinatra tunes!

CFM’s Christmas at the Park
For their tenth anniversary, Cairo Flea Market is promising that it will be big! Other than that, the event will be a mix of retail, food, and a whole lot of entertainment.

Choral Prier Vivante
Francophone Christmas carol chanters, Choral Prier Vivante, are making their second appearance this year to chant and cheer en francais.

Mohab will be throwing a Christmas-themed get-together where he shares Christmas stories and sings carols.

Christmas Movie Night: Home Alone
What better way to celebrate Christmas other than watching the fan-favourite movie Home Alone? Bring your friends and family to the screening night for an evening of eating junk and watching rubbish with no one coming out to stop you! (If you didn’t get the reference, then that’s more reason to attend the movie)

KhaltaBeta, a band founded in 2010, is hosting a night of covers of famous Christmas carols and a couple of original tracks as well. Sounds promising!
