Google continues to be an abundant source of knowledge, as the search engine is considered a portal to the world’s information. Each year, Google lets the world know what people have been searching most, and its new list for 2019 reveals a lot about what Egyptians have been looking for on the internet. We’ve taken a look at the list via Egypt Independent, and it is fruitful with football news, high school grades, music, and more.

On top of this year’s list came Egyptian Premier League Matches. It is no surprise that our nation is very much interested in our latest football antics, and this year’s season launched in September with a total of 34 matchdays. Who are you rooting for?

Second came Thanaweya Amma Grades, which were released in July 2019, and eager students across the country logged in to find out how their final examinations went. Do you remember the time when you were anticipating your own results?

As for the third top search, it was – you guessed it – also football-related! Al-Ahly against Al Hilal match took place in June 2019 during the Champions League. Al Ahly won 2-1 and continues to be one of the most popular teams in the country, who also won against Haras El Hodood during yesterday’s match in the Premier League. Do you think they’ll achieve another win on Thursday’s match against Ismaily?

The list also included African Cup of Nations, Mohamed Ramadan’s Zelzal series, as well as Mohamed Ramadan’s hit song, Mafia. Ranking tenth was Thanos, the fictional character which recently appeared as the villain in Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame.

What are you going to Google next?
