After a couple of successful years in 2018 and 2019, the Esports Summit is back for its third annual tournament this September. Unlike previously, this year’s edition of the massive gaming tournament that attracts professional gamers from all across the nation is set to be online, due to the current COVID-19 situation.
Organised by Gamers Lounge and The Worx, the 30-day online event caters to all tastes and preferences, featuring tournaments for numerous all-time favourite titles, like League of Legends, Fortnite, DOTA, FIFA20, Tekken, PUBG, and more.
Esports Summit 2020 comprises several sub-events, including the 7th round of AMD Ryzen Challenge, and Samsung War-Pros, where teams of five compete in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Meanwhile, one-on-one gaming fans can join the GL Arena, which features titles such as Underlords, PUBG, Fortnite, and more.
The summit also sees Red Bull M.E.O’s Egyptian qualifications for the international tournament, while Orange Esports Experience is set to host four competitions in PUBG, FIFA20, DOTA, and Asphalt Legends, with a prize pool of +120,000 LE.
Gamers Lounge also has its share of competitions taking place during Esports Summit 2020, offering the 5th edition of its GLSC in Mortal Kombat, Fortnite, CrossFire, Rainbow Six Siege, and Mobile Legends.
It’s worth mentioning that the 2018 Tournament received 5,000 professional gamers competing; and they grew to become 8,000 in 2019’s Tournament.
