HACE 2015: Cairo Prepares for 35th Edition of the Egypt’s Biggest Hotel Expo
In a recent forecast, the global hotel industry was predicted to make over 550 billion US dollars – yes, it’s big business and it’s just as big in Egypt. In Egypt, hotels are playgrounds for the young and wistful; complexes of dining, nightlife, wellness and entertainment. In short, you’ll rarely find the level of facilities and hospitality outside of the likes of Fairmont Nile City, Conrad Cairo Hotel or the Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski – the newest member of the hotel clan.
This is why the upcoming HACE – the biggest hotel expo in Egypt – has come to attract people from all walks of (work) life. It’s not just the biggest hotel expo in the country; it’s one of the biggest expos of its kind, period, and it’s in its remarkable 35th edition.
Kicking off a four-day run from November 9th, HACE will cover an area of 25,000 square meters at the gargantuan Cairo International Conference Centre, with over 275 Egyptian and foreign companies set to set-up shop for the four day event, which will cover everything – literally everything. From equipment, to food and beverage, to furniture and décor, the expo can also open up a whole new world of suppliers for cafes and restaurants, too. It’s not all work, though; HACE will also host several entertaining competitions, with the Egypt Food & Beverage Cup up for grabs and the International Culinary Challenge sounding particularly tasty.
In the past, HACE has been a hotbed of innovation for its relevant industries and this year is shaping up to be similar. To give an example, many food and drink entrpeneurs in the city particularly interested in a machine that reportedly mixes and serves cocktails with precision – a machine that we understand that enduring Zamalek bar, Cairo Cellar, has all but got its hands on, as it receives a much-needed renovation.
