El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) blew up on social media with photos of celebrities on red carpets, interviews with such celebrities, and images of the awards ceremony. GFF puts a spotlight on Egypt, El Gouna, and Egyptian cinema, firmly cementing Egypt’s name on the international film map.

Throughout the event, PepsiCo has been the official beverage sponsor, and has supported GFF to reach the stature it has gained for itself. In an effort to promote the big event, PepsiCo actually launched a special limited edition of Pepsi cans that were only available in El Gouna, you’ve probably seen it on large billboard advertisements over the past few weeks.

But what we really like the most was the digital program, organized by Tayara and sponsored by PepsiCo. It was called “Dehk w Le3b w Ping Pong”, which is essentially two celebrities playing ping pong and having fun together. Why don’t you have a look for yourself?

But that’s not all. If you’ve been at the festival, you’ll know that PepsiCo’s booth offered personalized gifts for visitors. The gifts included personalized Pepsi bottles with the visitors’ pictures on it, and they also gave away personalized packs of Forno Fusion.

Perhaps one of our favourite things was one of the simple ones; the delicious and refreshing drink that brought back all of our favourite childhood memories, granita. Granita is back with a Pepsi twist, as they had vending machines at the Marina offering a choice of either Pepsi or Miranda granita. What a delicious, and nostalgic, way to cool down from the sun’s heat.

PepsiCo did a great job at elevating El Gouna Film Festival to higher levels, and we can’t wait to see what they can do together next year.
