The Banishing

This Mystery film revolves around a young reverend (John Heffernan) in the 1930s, who’s just moved into a new town in England with his wife and daughter. Directed by Christopher Smith, the movie shows how events unfold when strange incidents start taking place in the family’s house, and they soon discover dark secrets within its walls.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

Frodo, the young Hobbit (Elijah Wood), takes a journey to destroy the all-powerful ring in this fantasy adventure. With a fellowship of eight companions and the help of Gandalf the Wizard (Ian McKellen), Frodo heads to Mount Doom, the only place where the ring can be destroyed, to get rid of its dark forces and save Middle-Earth from the evil Lord Sauron (Sala Baker).

The Mauritanian

In this suspenseful drama, directed by Kevin Macdonald, a defence attorney (Jodie Foster) and her associates help a Guantanamo Bay detainee (Tahar Rahim) gain his freedom. Assuming the existence of a conspiracy behind the man’s chargeless imprisonment, the defence attorney works alongside a military prosecutor (Benedict Cumberbatch) to uncover the truth.

After his supposed death, a retired Special Forces officer (Frank Grillo) finds himself stuck inside a time loop, forcing him to repeat the day of his death. In this action-packed flick, directed by Joe Carnahan, he sets out to discover the truth behind his predicament.

Detective Chinatown 3

The most recent addition to the Chinese action-comedy series, Detective Chinatown 3 follows detectives Tang Ren and Qin Feng (Wang Baoqiang and Liu Haoran) as they investigate a mysterious murder in Tokyo, which causes a battle to ensue between the most prominent detectives in Asia. Directed by Chen Sicheng, this movie offers a humorous look into the lives of Chinese detectives.
