On Monday, July 1st, at 7:30 PM, Hearts & Crafts will mark its first anniversary with a heartfelt evening at Jupiter Marketplace Zone. Titled “One Year, Many Hands,” the event celebrates the artisans, mentors, trainers, and partners who turned this grassroots idea into a nationwide craft movement. It’s more than an anniversary. It’s a recognition of the people behind the progress and the hands behind the magic.
From Giza to Luxor: A Tapestry of Stories
Over the past year, Hearts & Crafts has worked closely with artisan communities across Egypt, including Mansouria in Giza, El Manar in Aswan, Abees in Alexandria, Ab3adeia in Beheira, and El Korna in Luxor. What began as a mission to support craftsmanship through training and exposure has grown into a dynamic platform for economic opportunity and creative expression.
This anniversary brings that journey to life through an immersive, interactive event. Each artisan will showcase and sell their work at dedicated tables, offering guests an intimate look at their creative process, from raw material to final product. With live demos and casual storytelling, attendees can experience beadwork, crochet, and more as they unfold in real-time, all while forming personal connections through “Meet the Artisan” circles.
The Storyteller in the Room: Passant Fouad Hosts the Night
The event’s energy will be held by Passant Fouad, whose presence is both charismatic and grounded. She’ll guide the flow of the evening not through formal speeches but by anchoring real-time interviews, conversations, and spontaneous story-sharing. The founder of Hearts & Crafts, Mona, will close the night with a short address reflecting on the journey so far and the road ahead, tying together the evening’s emotions with clarity and purpose.
Crafting Support: Giving Options with Heart
In the spirit of meaningful support, the event will unveil a series of giving options. Attendees can “adopt a craft,” “adopt an artisan,” or even back full group contributions that help cover materials, training, and future opportunities. Each table will feature a QR code for instant donations via InstaPay or bank transfer, making it easy to support quietly and directly.
A heart-shaped product created specifically for the anniversary will be available through a silent auction, with all proceeds benefiting the foundation. To show appreciation, major sponsors and donors will also receive handcrafted thank-you gifts from the artisans themselves, a full-circle gesture of gratitude.
Beyond the Event: Every Guest Has a Role to Play
While the celebration takes place over a single evening, its impact is intended to last much longer. Guests are encouraged to talk about the initiative, share their experiences online, and help connect Hearts & Crafts with potential collaborators, sponsors, and supporters. Whether through volunteering their time, offering expertise, or simply sharing their experience with others, each guest has a part to play in what comes next.
This first anniversary isn’t just a moment of celebration; it’s a moment of momentum. The story of Hearts & Crafts is stitched together by many hands, but it continues only with collective effort. On July 1st, every product, every story, and every guest will become part of a shared fabric—one that reminds us of the value of craft, the importance of community, and the impact of showing up.
