The future of banking here! And it has arrived digitally! In the world we live in today, social distancing is crucial and staying safe has become essential in our day-to-day interactions. Businesses and services are looking for new and inventive ways to keep on top of things, meet customer and client needs, and secure their employees and longevity all at once. Banque du Caire is first of its kind to adopt the latest worldwide technological systems and launch a fully digital space, with its first Smart Branch now up and running in Mall of Egypt.

At the digital branch, all non-financial transactions customer services and standard banking services such as instant account opening, instant card printing, loan and credit card request, wallet registration, internet and mobile banking registration, issuing certificates and internet banking access with assisted service will be made available reliably and responsibly.

Digital rooms within the Smart Branch at Banque du Caire will contain instant card printers as well as customer service representatives or “Interactive Greeters” connected through a videoconference to navigate customers to the requested channels to use based on services needed.

To ensure the branch remains environmentally friendly and responsible during the coronavirus pandemic, there will also be no physical brochures or posters available. Customers will instead have a Surface Table where they can digitally surf through all the products and leave their names and numbers when requiring a callback to enquire or apply for a specific product. There is also a paperless ticket with a Q-number through SMS. Needless to say, sanitising equipment will also be ready where needed to ensure safety and cleanliness.

While awaiting their turn, customers can access internet banking and the bank’s website through the tablets at the waiting area or “e-corner”. ATM services will also be made available for bill payment, foreign currency exchange, mobile wallet withdrawal and deposits, cash withdrawal according to ATM limits, and credit card services.

Every aspect of Banque du Caire’s Smart Branch aims to improve banking services and provide customers with a much safer and easier alternative to regular banking features and facilities, making way for responsible living in a time of crisis. More branches will also be available as of 2021.
