We all have our remedies for staying warm in Cairo’s unforgiving winter, but our favourite of all has to be Gianaclis’ own solution. While it might be tempting to cocoon yourself and wrap up warm at home, Gianaclis braved the weather with an exclusive event full of food, entertainment and, of course, wine.

Taking place at the oh so picturesque El Castillo Palace, there was plenty to get stuck-into at Winter WineLand, including bars serving Gianaclis’ pantheon of wines, some of which were even used for some rather tasty cocktails, including sangria and even the quintessential winter bevarage, mulled wine.

Alongside that was suitably tasty hors d’oeuvres and live music, capping off what was every bit as spectacular as it promised – take a look for yourself.
