New in Cairo Cinemas: What to Expect From This Week’s Top Film Releases

This week is not a great one for Cairene cinephiles, with only one new film release hitting the theatres of Cairo. But, because we love to keep you updated with anything and everything, and we pride ourselves on catering to all Cairenes, especially loyal movie watchers, we are still here for you. Accordingly, here is everything you need to know about the one film release hitting theatres this week:

A Dog’s Journey

What’s it about? A dog attempts to discover the meaning of his own existence viz-a-viz the humans he encounters and interacts with.

The good: You honestly have to be heartless if you do not enjoy watching movies starring adorable dogs. Indeed, there is something to be said about the guilty pleasure – and cuteness overload we all experience while watching films like this.

The bad: While we all love such movies, the plot line is quite exhausted, overdone, and cliché. Just by watching the trailer alone, you will feel like a scriptwriter as you will probably be able to guess everything about this film.

You can still catch Backtrace and UglyDolls (last week’s film releases) if you have not had the chance to do so. To find out where and when you can catch these films, check out the Cairo 360 Cinema Guide.
