Offering an oasis-like setting, Byblos is reinventing fine dining and adding its personal touch to Lebanese cuisine. Personally crafted menus by executive Chef Chadi are what await you in Byblos. Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza is home to many restaurants of different cuisines, but their latest, Byblos, promises flavours, aromas, and hues of authentic Lebanese cuisine with a modern twist on classic dishes of Lebanon.

The name is inspired by the coastal city of Byblos in Lebanon, one of the oldest in the world, to invite guests to enjoy the freshness, quality and authenticity of Lebanese dishes and atmosphere in the heart of Cairo.

The opening of Byblos could not have come at a better time, Lebanese cuisine has been on the rise in Egypt, but Byblos stands to distinguish itself by its finesse and aesthetics. The unique design concept was formulated by French interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, whose magnificent designs have been used by the Four Seasons properties all over the world.

Byblos is split into indoor and outdoor areas, the latter located by the open-air swimming pool. The interior’s beige colour palette with wooden accents offers a contrast from the greenery and blue hues of the pool. The decorative ceramics and wall art add a touch of modernism and tie together the soothing interior design. The green marble floor leads you to the patio area, where you can enjoy your meal while drenched in sunlight and enjoy some al fresco dining. There, you can enjoy shisha with plenty of flavours and combinations to your liking.

Executive Chef Chadi Bayram, the mastermind behind the menus and head of the culinary team, has always had a passion for Lebanese cuisine linked to his childhood in Lebanon, where his journey with the culinary arts began in his parent’s kitchen and evolved into studying hospitality at a local college. For the past two decades, Chef Chadi has successfully led kitchens of Lebanese restaurants in Vietnam, India, and Cairo.

He built his menu at Byblos to represent the essence of Lebanese cuisine and include plenty of sharing plates like hot and cold mezzeh, kibbeh, and fatteh. The menu also includes many specialities that are packed with regional flavours.

“Lebanese cuisine is an essential part of who I am, and I’m thrilled to share it with our guests at Byblos”, said Chadi. “As with each of the Hotel’s dining concepts, the quality of ingredients and skill of the team are what sets Byblos apart in Cairo’s diverse Lebanese dining scene”.

Chef Chadi is also joined by Executive Pastry Chef Yehia Ahmed, whose relationship with the Four Seasons dates back to 2004. Chef Yehia has mastered the craft of “Lebanese Sweet Treats” and serves these signature dishes with a refreshing ice cream that is to die for.

Byblos is set apart by its captivating atmosphere and impeccable service and will contribute a remarkable and distinctive touch to the Lebanese cuisine scene in Egypt.

Byblos restaurant is open seven days a week, serving lunch and dinner from 1 pm to 1 am.
