In a city like Cairo, a new restaurant opens every other day, but only a few rise to be remarkable enough to gain our attention. Fairmont’s Gingko bar and restaurant is one of them. It simply has everything. In every aspect, it reaches complete perfection. From the cuisine to the interior design, it feels like an Asian island in the heart of Cairo.

Built around Asian cuisine, Gingko still doesn’t limit itself and expands its menu to feature diverse, varied listings of international ingredients and dishes, diverting in its seafood, beef, and chicken dishes, all raw and cooked. Flirting with Italian, Egyptian, and American cuisines, and many others, the à la carte menu features a unique blend of Asian and International ingredients assorted by a selection of small dishes, including Octopus and Beef Carpaccio, Tuna and Salmon Tataki, Volcano Shrimps, Saffron Sea Scallops and Smoked Edamame.

Remarkable on its menu are breakfasts as well! Other than American and Egyptian breakfasts, Gingko serves a special champagne breakfast for two with their 1882 Champagne, perfectly fit for royalty! It opens on Friday and Saturday from 11.00 AM to 1.00 PM for breakfast, while opening from 5.00 PM to 1.00 PM for dinner the rest of the week.

That is other than the spectacular beverage menu featuring cocktails that are perfectly made to accentuate sharing plates like Salt-Baked Whole Sea Sass, Angus Beef Tenderloin and Assorted Seafood Platters.

Besides the menu, the interior design is truly notable about Gingko. The interior design has been chosen to feature the terrace area in a modern, light, and airy style, mainly around the green. The decor is luscious with the simultaneous vibe of refinement and casualness, elegant settings, and greenery ceilings, giving it the feel of a coastal restaurant and bar with the greenery of Asian islands’ forest lounges.

Fairmont’s Gingko also makes a one-of-a-kind nightlife spot due to its outdoor terrace location, food and beverages, but also the incredible DJ spinning the place every night. The DJ tunes vary daily, and are perfect for the restaurant’s vibe.
